Arthur Jacoby – In the Moment

The world never stands still. Reality is a transient experience. We try to make sense of it by creating images and telling stories. Most people buy into the belief that they can accurately capture the truth and reality of what they see. Most photographers do this by freezing a moment in time. My camera and computer are my paints, brushes and canvas. I use the camera, Intentional Camera Movement (ICM), multiple exposures and the digital darkroom to have the viewer share the emotions and feelings that inspired and prompted me to push the shutter button to capture that moment.
