Artist Statement

In retirement, I was drawn to watercolor so I could view the world in a different light. Seeing things differently, perhaps clearer, was my motivation.
Watercolor is incorrigible! Learning how to work with it, respect it, listen to it and trust it are my goals.
Because of its cat like qualities, learning how to give it the freedom it needs while controlling the way is essential.With no freedom there’s no art.
