Art is how I breathe-a lifeline to my soul and, at times, a quiet rebellion against conformity. I paint to feel, to remember, to express what words cannot. After writing my memoir My Mother Next Door, the creative floodgates reopened; music, light, and fleeting moments became color and movement on canvas.
A turning point came with The Many Faces of Womanhood. Eyes closed, I traced my face while painting, guided by instinct. The result was a raw self-portrait that revealed something hidden yet universal, resonating deeply with others.
My work now explores moods, relationships, and shared human experience, drawing from nature, femininity, grief, joy, and travel. Like nature, we move in cycles-wild, tender, ever-changing-always capable of renewal. I create immersive spaces that awaken the primal and familiar, offering connection over answers. This is art as
energy, presence, and invitation-the most honest conversation I’ve ever had, now spoken fully in color.
