Artist Statement
Elle Birdsell is a self-taught visual artist from Columbus, Ohio. Her art utilizes surrealism to create worlds that feel dream-like and eerie. Her work explores themes of identity, devotion and complex relationships. Birdsell explores vulnerability, allowing the audience to reflect on their own experiences and personal connections through each piece. Elle often uses abstraction of the human form to convey the emotional subtext of each piece.
