Artist Statement

Since my childhood experiences of visiting MASSIVE & LUSH public gardens as a 4 – 5 year old, I’ve forever been influenced with lush gardens AND FANTASY LANDSCAPES. I used acrylics for hard-edge still lifes on 4′ x 4′ hardboards for years until I started using OIL PAINT ON CANVAS, applying it thickly with several
different sized palette knives (impasto) and let my imagination take over!

Artist Biography

I lucked out taking four years of group art lessons by a genius art teacher when my two sons were in grade school. She taught us COLOR THEORY, DESIGN and ART HISTORY intensely! Then I had to be self employed for 31 years in Colorado as a house painter while painting in my home art studio nights and weekends but FULL TIME since I retired in 2004.
