Artist Statement

My work exists at the intersection of automatic surrealism and abstract expressionism, deeply informed by the revolutionary spirit of Modernist movements. I embrace a multidisciplinary approach-working with clay, ink on rice paper, acrylic on canvas, and digital media-to explore tension, texture, and layering. My sculptures often draw from the archetypal feminine divine of ancient goddess cultures, while my paintings and works on paper reveal gestural energy, dissolving forms, and the play between presence and absence. Central to my practice is stillness, akin to Hexagram 52 of the I Ching and the Kabbalistic Ein Sof. From this generative silence, gestures
arise like breath. The canvas becomes a living surface where the conscious and unconscious meet, echoing Jung’s collective unconscious. My aim is not to control but to participate in unfolding energies. As Pollock described: the painting is the residue, the echo, the exhale.
