As a photographer with a passion for color, Autumn has always been my favorite season of the year, where color subtly and boldly permeates the textures of the landscape. Eventually my landscape work began to shift toward the abstract and into my current work where I perceive my image captures as a canvas to further pursue my personal vision. These images are, initially, photographic captures of paint deteriorating on rusting metal. The textures are inherent and the final colors, tonality and composition are the result of my intuitive response to the subject matter. I am drawn to create imagery which is emotionally vibrant and mysterious, rich in color, evoking a sense of wonder. With elements of color, texture and ambiguous forms I create a portal for transmuting the temporal to the empyreal in my pursuit of the extraordinary.
