Artist Statement

“We can often feel a kind of routine in our lives. As if things always unfold in the same way, with no way to escape. The people of Chessland had a laborious and predictable life, where victories and defeats followed one another. But one day, however, the improbable happens: at the end of a game of chess, the White King and the Black Queen leave the board to venture into an unknown, new world. They leave the strict and stifling black and white frame, taking their first steps into a colorful world. There is always hope that we can choose to follow our greatest inspirations, find our true nature, and escape a world of duality toward non-duality.”
