Artist Statement

The Pressure to Be Thin was Created with the intention of dissecting the relationship between a soul and reality in order to convey the story of tension and anxiety and show it in a way that would let viewers identify with my discomfort and anxiety. I speak up about the constant assault of body insecurity, my struggles, and my stress. I create this work to catalog my accumulating psychological stress from my past.
