Artist Statement

With a background in drawing, painting, photography and graphic design, I am driven by a fascination with abstraction and the expressive realm of acrylics. I
find the process of abstract painting requires intuition and a deep dive into the subconscious, always searching for what has yet to be discovered. Harnessing various tools such as dripping, blotting, pouring, and sanding alongside collage elements and the written word, I create compositions that have a focal point and a play between organic and linear forms. My work emanates a deep sense of introspection and the continuous search for the purest expression of her artistic intent.

Artist Biography

I currently live and paint in Miami, Florida and have been in the arts most of my life. In the early years I had a career as a graphic designer and art director, eventually owning a graphic design business. In 1992, I moved to Maui, Hawaii and became a successful painter, showing in several galleries and juried art shows there. With a Bachelors degree, a major in Fine Art and numerous workshops, I continued to explore other art forms to include photography, printmaking and ceramics. Since returning to Miami, I have become an award winner and show in numerous venues.
